About Sophie

My daughter, Sophie, has allergies to both food and environmental factors. She is allergic to dust, dust mites and grass. Her food allergies range from mild to severe. We do have to carry an epi-pen with us. We will get through this and I hope to be able to help other people based on our experiences.

Childhood allergies are becoming more and more common. It is hard struggling alone. I want to be able to provide information and hope to others.

Sophie had an allergic reaction when she was 14 months old. We had to call 911 and take her to the hospital. It was by far the scariest and seemingly longest experience in my life. We are very fortunate that she came through it okay. She did not go into shock. 

Having a child with allergies has put a new twist on life... and so has our diagnosis with celiac disease. But, life is brighter with my daughter in it. I am so thankful for her. Thank you, Sophie!
